Burak Kadercan

Burak Kadercan is a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Reading, specializing in the intersection of international relations theory, international security, military-diplomatic history, and political geography. He has also taught as assistant professor and programme coordinator for an MA in International Security at Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), the University of Chicago, University of Richmond, and Bogazici University. He is currently working on the conceptualization of empires in IR theory, with a special focus on the case of the Ottoman Empire.
