Tatiana Degai

Tatiana’s work is focused on the revitalisation possibilities of her ancestral Itelmen language in Kamchatka. She is a member of the Council of Itelmens Tkhsanom and has presented at the UN on endangered languages and as part of the International Indigenous Women Biodiversity Network. Her research spans indigenous education, sociolinguistics, ethnography, indigenous activism and revitalisation.
